Dolwyddelan Fishing Association

Trout and Salmon fishing in the river Lledr

Day, weekly and season permits are available to fish the Association Water on the River Lledr. Day tickets are on selected waters only and weekly tickets Monday to Friday are available.

Visitors staying in Holiday Homes, Hotels, Guest houses either in the village or within a three mile radius of the village and can obtain tickets from the Secretary D. Foster at, 17 Castle Terrace, Dolwyddelan. Tel 01690750444. Email dfoste@btinternet .com.

Catch returns for September:

10 salmon between 7 and 12lbs in weight and 5 sea trout up to 3lbs.

Over the last two years there has been good early runs of both salmon and sea trout with several salmon between 9 to 10lbs being caught. Three years ago the river was stocked with brown trout and there are encouraging signs that these are still thriving and growing in the river.

News

At the A.G.M. of the fishing club held on 25.11.11. The Bob Mochdre memorial trophy awarded to the local member who caught the heaviest fish for the season 2011, was presented to Stephen Roberts for a Salmon weight 11lbs.5oz. by Chairman E. Roberts.
