Measured For Transport

In 1962, a specially designed electrical transformer was moved by rail from Llandudno Junction to Blaenau Ffestiniog before continuing it’s journey by road to Tan-y-Grisiau where a new pumped storage power station was being built.

On its way the transformer passed through Dolwyddelan Railway Station.

This film documents that journey.
