J R Jones (Bob 1869 - 1939?)

J R Jones (Bob 1869 – 1939?) 14 Castle Terrace. Eldest son of Ann and John Jones. He was the local coal merchant and his office was based in the station yard. The shed was then moved to Hafanedd, Castle Terrace.

1908 Moriah Chapel.

1908 Moriah Chapel. The wedding of Elizabeth (nee Jones, daughter of John Jones Hen Efail, sister to J R Jones, local coal merchant. Resided at 14 Castle Terrace) and Christopher Jones from 8 Bennar Viev, Blaenau Ffestniog.

A Ferranti Transformer for Ffestiniog Power Station. The tank was designed specifically to fit through the Blaenau tunnel and crawled through with constant stops to adjust the position on its bogie as there was barely an inch to spare either side.
